26% of Pemi-Baker area youth report riding with a driver who is under the influence of alcohol or other drugs at least once.

CADY supports classes for three distinct populations that are held intermittently throughout the year.

Parent Circle

 

Share your ideas, strategies, triumphs, and challenges in the raising of adolescents in today’s world with other parents. Discussion is facilitated by Plymouth State University Counseling Center staff and guest facilitators.

Dare To Be You Parenting Classes Family Empowerment Series

Enjoy raising pre-schoolers who thrive! The fun and creative ideas in this family series promote the physical, social, and emotional wellbeing of children 2-5 years old—and their parents—while enhancing your family relationship.

 

Who Should Attend?

Parents and Children (2 to 5 years old)

 

Classes will resume in the fall of 2008. If you are interested in signing up please pre-register by calling the

    • Workshops open to parents and caregivers
    • Children’s Program (ages 2-5)
    • Fun, Interactive Activities
    • $50 Cash Bonus to first ten families that pre-register
      and attend all workshops (one per family)!

Guiding Good Choices Parenting For Parents of Tweens and Teens

 

This engaging and interactive series offers positive, common sense strategies for dealing with both the everyday issues of parenting today’s youth—friends, junk food, internet and stress, as well as serious issues such as substance abuse prevention. You
will learn how the “little things” –talking one-on-one, setting boundaries, offering guidance, and modeling positive behavior—make a BIG difference in helping your teen be healthy and successful.

 

Who Should Attend?

Parents and Caregivers of 9-14 year olds

Prime For Life for Professionals and Parents

Prime For Life-Under 21

A powerful educational series as a resource and referral for alcohol problems and other chemical dependency is being offered to professionals and parents alike.
